NFRONT Athletics group speed training programs are designed with the young athlete in mind teaching proper exercise mechanics and safety. The program commits to reinforcing the proper running fundamentals (knee drive, arm action, and ankle flexion) in conjunction with age-appropriate strength and core exercises. Once coaches have determined that the appropriate developments have been made within each individual youth athlete, they will graduate into more advanced training where focus is on strength development along with more advanced speed, agility and plyometric training.
This program is essential to youth athletes of any and all skill levels. Even though in a group atmosphere the workouts are personalized and catered to the benefit of each individual. Any of our workouts can be modified for our clients that have injuries or want to slow the pace.

Private training sessions with NFRONT Athletics are offered at any of the off-site training locations listed on the NFRONT webpage, including indoor facilities. In-home training is currently offered in Lake and portions of Cook and McHenry Counties (IL). NFRONT also offers sports performance training for athletes of any age & skill level that are looking for a personalized program tailored to their sport & goals.

NFRONT Youth Track & Field Camp was developed to introduce young athletes to this sport rich in tradition and history. This camp combines technical development and fundamental techniques with safety and a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, our exercises and drills will prepare athletes for a future in cross-country, track and field events, distance running, while inspiring a love for running and being active. The fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching, and cool-down techniques are all covered in this unique program. Participants will put it all together for one fun-filled day at the end of the camp at the NFRONT Track Meet!
Ability Level: This camp is perfect for the beginning to intermediate runner.
Food to Bring: Two snacks & water bottle.
Gear to Bring: Appropriate clothing, water bottle, running shoes, and sunscreen.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
If your child is unable to attend the program after registering, you can apply the registration fee to a future NFRONT program in the current or following year by calling 847-748-0448. Refunds will only be given if cancelled
Please remember: You are representing NFRONT, yourself and your family. Please be respectful to all athletes, coaches, other runners at the track and spectators. Have fun, but also be prepared to compete, be responsible, respectful, and safe. At the end of camp sessions, all participants are expected to thoroughly clean their area at the track.
Parents are not permitted to be on the track.

In case of inclement weather (major rain, thunderstorm, lightning), we will go to our cars or home and cancel the camp session. In the event that a session is cancelled, we will discuss a make-up date (to be determined at a later time).
To secure your place in this camp, please submit a deposit of at least $150 with this completed form.
